PDP, APC takes over Owan constituency

The House of Assembly results declared by the election umpire INEC for the Owan East and Owan West constituencies indicated that the All Progressive Congress APC and the people’s Democratic party PDP shared the two local governments by winning one constituency each.

The people’s Democratic party PDP candidate for Owan West constituency, Hon Blessing Agbebaku defeated his opponent from the All Progressive Congress APC ,Michael Ohio Ezomo with a total vote of 9839 votes while the APC candidate scored APC 7565 .

Hon. Blessing Agbebaku is a former member of the house.

In Owan East constituency, the All Progressive Congress APC candidate, Barr Eric Okaka defeated his opponent of the PDP, Prince Aminu Okodo Kadiri.

Barr Eric scored 15,659 votes while the PDP scored 9,333

Barr Okaka is making his second coming to the House of Assembly. He belongs to the class of the lawmakers-elect not inaugurated by Governor Godwin Obaseki after the 2019 general elections.
