Iyamu will on Monday, January 29, 2024 kick start the issuance of free JAMB registration forms to students from Orhionmwon local government council.
This gesture is one of the many ways the Hon. member has demonstrated that the welfare and well-being of his constituents are vital in his considerations.
The People’s Democratic party, PDP , lawmaker giving out of free JAMB registration forms is keeping with one of his key promises during the hectic campaign, there are, however, plans to make the exercise an annual ritual.
The free JAMB registration exercise is planned to commence on Monday, January 29, 2024 and will end on Saturday, February 3 2024.
Hon. Iyamu’s Constituency office in Orhionmwon is expected to be a beehive for a large number of prospective students who will congregate to do the registration.
Alternatively, the free JAMB forms are also available at the Edo State House of Assembly complex.
It is gathered that the amiable lawmaker wants the exercise to become a permanent feature and in that regard, he is reported to have floated the Bright Iyamu Foundation to coordinate the exercise .
Further investigation reveals that the main idea behind the exercise is to relieve vulnerable parents and guardians of the burden of having to cough out what is considered their last savings in procuring the form for their wards.
The JAMB examination serves as the gateway for admission into the tertiary institutions in the country.
Already, accolades have started pouring in for the lawmaker.
Both intending applicants and parents have hailed the gesture saying it would certainly relieve them of the stress of having to source for the money at a time when citizens are facing a severe economic crunch.
