The Edo State Consumer Protection Committee has called for collaboration and security support from the Edo State Security Corps as it prepares to commence statewide operations aimed at protecting consumers and enforcing market standards across the state.
The state Commander Richard Balogun made the pledge in his office when the Consumer protection committee led by it’s chairman comrade osaro Iyamu culture paid him an official visit at the State command in Benin city.
He assured the committee of a Stand By Squad anytime the committee will be Going out for enforcement
Earlier, the chairman of the committee who had asked for adequate security protection from the agency during enforcement by the committee members to eliminate the state of substandard and fake products from Edo State.
He Stated that Edo people were dieing from fake products and chemically induced goods
Those in the entourage of the state chairman included Mrs osaghae sweet oghogho coordinator Edo South,mr Eshesima Sunday Coordinator Edo North and other other members of the committee
