Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Etsako West Local Government Area have unanimously thrown their support behind the governorship aspiration of Hon. Anamero Sunday Dekeri aka Danco during a meeting held in Auchi during the yuletide.
The leaders who gave their support during a meeting held in Auchi on Thursday said they took this position based on the steering leadership qualities of Hon Anamero Dekeri.
Speaking at the leader’s meeting Hon. Bramah Abdulganiyu, APC Leader of club three said their support to Anamero Dekeri was based on his steering leadership qualities, .
According to him, Anamero’s track record of selfless service, experience, dedication to the party and philanthropic disposition are key reasons for the support.
He said, “Mr Anamero Dekeri has both the experience and ability to put the state on an enviable height. He stands tall among other aspirants and looking at his track records, especially in the area of his philanthropic gestures across the state, we are convinced that he is in a better position at this point to rescue our dear state and make it viable”.
Other leaders who spoke glowingly of Hon. Anamero Dekeri’s ability included the APC Leader from South Ibie, Hon. Abass Jatto and the APC Leader from Uzairue, Hon. Shamac Okhilagwe
With the growing support base of Hon. Anamero Sunday Dekeri in the last few weeks, it is evident that he is one of the favorite aspirants with high hopes of clinching the APC ticket in the forthcoming primaries slated for February, 2024.
Acknowledging the enormous task ahead, the leaders said Edo State is at a critical juncture and needs tested and capable hands to steer its fortunes to put it back on track for rapid development and advancement.
They appealed to party faithfuls to set aside tribal sentiments as they focus on competence and capability.
