The All Progressives Congress ,APC, Candidate for Etsako Federal Constituency Mr. Dekeri Onamelo, aka Danco, has donated relief materials to victims displaced by flood in Agenebode, the administrative headquarters of Etsako East Local Government Area.
The APC reps candidate who is addressed as Danco said he was doing the gesture to show love, care and provide for those who are in a helpless situation to cushion their effects.
Amongst the items donated are Bags of Gari, Catons of idomie, Mosquito nets, Beverages, Detergents soap, etc
According to Danco , ” the bible says love your neighbor as yourself and that’s what I am doing because we need each other to survive and God loves those who give”.
He added: ” I am using this opportunity to call on other well meaning sons and daughters of Etsako and Nigeria to come to the aid of these people to give them sense of belonging “.
“This is not about political affiliation but about the people , i urged those in charge of sharing to share to everyone affected regardless of party divide”.
“Whether you belong to party A or party B, is not what matters now but our people matters to us and we want your safety and survival as far as these persons are from this wepa wano and affected by the flood, please for the sake of God, extend hand of fellowship to the person”.
Danco called on government attention to wade into the plight of the people with a view to salvage the situation.
He said: ” I think this is the time to draw government attention. Government need to know what our people are going through. None of us bargained for this. We didn’t envisaged that one day flood will come and sweep our houses, farmland and livestock away and government attention is needed here”.
He stressed that if he is sent to represent the people of Etsako in the House of Representatives, their voices will be heard and he will bring government closer to the people for them to enjoy full dividends of democracy.
