The Chief Medical Director of University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, on Friday, March 27, paid a working visit to Rev. Matthew Okpebholo, founder of St. Matthew’s Royal Academy, in Esan Central LGA.
She commended the academy’s role in training nurses and urged students to remain diligent as both institutions deepen ties.
Prof. Ize-Iyamu and UBTH managers praised Rev. Okpebholo for running a high-quality nursing program at St. Matthew’s Royal Academy in Eidenu Irrua, Esan Central. The CMD stressed nursing’s importance and urged students to stay focused on their studies.
Addressing the nursing students, Prof. Ize-Iyamu emphasized that nursing is a noble career.
”Nursing is a noble profession, and you are indispensable in the health sector. As nursing students, please be excellent ambassadors of this institution. Let the name of this school be written in gold. ” Prof. Ize-Iyamu said.
She further explained the critical role nurses play in patient care and the overall healthcare system.
Her words served as motivation for the students, reinforcing the value of their chosen path and the impact they can have on the lives of others.
