The Management of Edo State Traffic Control and Management Agency( EDSTMA), has alleged that a traffic offender has set one of its officers ablaze in Benin.
The management of EDSTMA in a voice over video making the rounds, said that the traffic officer apprehended the suspect for an alleged traffic violation but in bid of trying to escape an arrest, sets the officer ablaze.
“The Management of Edo State Traffic Control and Management Agency, ( EDSTMA) hereby announce to the general public that a motorist driving a commercial bus with the registration number FFE145XA committed a traffic offence at Adesuwa Junction, Sapele Road, Benin City on Friday, 9th February, 2023.
“On apprehension, the bus driver angrily brought out fuel and set one of the officers ablaze.
“Currently, the officer is in an undisclosed hospital receiving treatment.
“The bus driver is on the run. Anyone with any useful information regarding this driver should kindly report at any EDSTMA office”, the management said.
