The Operatives of the Edo state Police command attached to Fugar divisional Police headquarters has arrested two people allegly said to be a notorious cultist along the Auchi-Ekperi road.
The arrest according to the police to ASP Jennifer U. Iwegbu , the
Deputy Police Public Relations officer took place during a stop and search, operation carried out along the route .
, The operatives in the course of the excise, accosted two young men on a motorcycle, whom during search conducted on them recoverd three live cartridges in a bag in possession of one them whose name is Emmanuel James who was together with Matthew oghode.
The suspect according to police , took to his heels into the bush in a bid to dispose the cut to size gun in his possession.
The police operatives gave him a hot chase and maimed him on his foot before he was apprehended.
Suspects confessed to be members of the dreaded Aiye confraternity also know as black axe.
Investigation is still ongoing for possible arrest of other gang members.
