Niger-Delta Youth Speaks to Buhari Over Minor Cabinet Reshuffling

Following the minor cabinet reshuffling in Federal Executive Council, Niger Delta youth has advised president Muhammadu Buhari to dig deep and look beyond casual surface in appointing the likes of the newly appointed Minister of Niger Delta Affairs into public space for a better narratives in Nigeria.

Youths in the region under the umbrella of Niger Delta APC Youth Vanguard in a statement signed by Fiawei Pathfinder and Sir Ak Peters national coordinator and secretary respectively after it’s leadership emergency meeting said Umana Umana, appointment as Minister will go a long way in bringing lasting peace to the region.

According to the group, Umana is poised to to transforming and reorganizing the Niger-Delta with steady youth empowerment which has contributed to the reduction in criminality, youth restiveness and militancy.

“We commend and appreciate Mr President for his wise wisdom for appointing a man like Umana, a game changer and financial expert and development expert to head such sensitive Ministry such as the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, especially, at this point when the people of the region are yearning and Agitating for the inauguration of the Niger Delta Development Commission wish is a regional development federal agency”

“We know his pedigree and antecedents over the years even before he was appointed Director General of Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority, OGFZA, where he did marvelously well to transform and generate employment for the teeming youths in the region. This led to increased revenue generation of the Buhari-led administration. Your expertise and experience has brought you this recognition, which is well deserved and acceptable by all Niger Deltans.
