Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, the former Chief of Staff, CoS, to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has joined the league of top politicians who went to school after leaving office .

The former two-term deputy governor of Edo State quietly left the country to the United Kingdom, where he recently earned a doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from the prestigious Liverpool University in the United Kingdom.

Chief Oghiadomhe, who had earlier bagged a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Benin in 1982, after obtaining his first degree in Soil Science from the premier university, the University of Ibadan, may have decided to temporarily take some time off the game of politics like a few top politicians have done in recent times to pursue academic laurels.

According to the multiple chieftaincy title holder, cutting across the Edo State landscape, the quest to actualise both his “professional and academic dream” which he has been nursing for years, prompted his decision to go back to complete an assignment that was very dear to his heart.

The Edo North PDP leader from Fugar in Etsako Central local government area belongs to many professional and academic bodies, including the Nigeria Institute of Management, NIM; the Nigeria Geo-Sciences Society, and the Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria.

His major hobbies apart from devoting a substantial amount of his time to his God and family include traveling, reading, and engaging in serious political discourses which can translate into good governance for his immediate constituency
