The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has approved the appointment of Prince Tijani Ugbodaga as the Chairman of the Edo State Local Government Service Commission.
In a statement, Special Adviser on Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie, said Prince Ugbodaga takes over from the former Chairman of the Commission, Chief Tom Uloko.
No reason was given for the sudden removal.
Chief Uloko who hails from Afowa,uzairue clan in Etsako west LGA was inaugurated as chairman of the commission on 26th November 2019 while successor Prince, Ugbodaga hails from Anegbette in South Uneme clan of Etsako central LGA.
According to the government release, The appointment takes immediate effect.
“The government appreciates Chief Uloko for his service to the State and wishes him well in his future endeavour.
“The swearing-in of Prince Ugbodaga will be held at a date to be announced soon.”
