Nigeria @ 63: Federal Lawmaker Felicitates Nigerians, Calls for Speedy Rehabilitation of Federal Roads Across Edo State

As Nigeria marks her 63rd anniversary of nationhood, a federal lawmaker representing Egor- Ikpoba-Okha federal constituency of Edo State, Hon Murphy Osaro Omoruyi felicitates with all Nigerians, urging them to have hope for a more prosperous nation.

According to the federal lawmaker, ” As we celebrate in peace and harmony, let’s us all be sensitive enough not to forget the purpose of our oneness in engendering a peaceful and purposeful nation “.

Hon. Omoruyi extols the patriotism of Nigerians for continuing to keep faith in the country in spite of the hard times occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy , stressing the need for prayers and dedication for things to turn around for the benefit of all.

The federal lawmaker also used the opportunity of the independence celebration to call on the federal ministry of Works to expedite effort at making federal roads across Edo State motorable.

Hon. Omoruyi who had earlier written to the federal ministry of Works on the deplorable condition of federal roads in Edo State, expressed delight on the the response to his letter by the ministry where efforts at fixing the roads were highlighted.

Honourable Omoruyi equally commended the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi for undertaking an on- the- spot assessement of the affected roads and enjoined him to match his words with action as Edo citizens and other commuters are passing through an untold hardship carrying out their economic activities as a result of the bad roads.
