Throwing taunts through innuendos at Hon Phillip Shaibu his erstwhile political godson and the deputy governor of Edo State, Comrade Oshiomole said his victory at the poll, though sweet, bewildered his critics, saying it will not only shut up his detractors but also ensure they are retired politically

Recall Hon Shaibu had, during one of the rallies held in the state vowed to ensure the former comrade governor is retired from active politics by instigating his comprehensive defeat in his senatorial election. But, as fate would have it, Comrade Oshiomole overhauled his rivals to emerge as the Senator-elect for Edo North.

The former comrade governor told the mammoth crowd that the rally was organized to appreciate them for saving him from possible embarrassment as well as premature retirement if he had lost at the poll

He urged them to go out on Saturday, March 11, and vote for the APC candidates, insisting the state assembly election was even more crucial than the last election
