Etsako flood victims Get 32 Million from Tinubu’s 40 million largesse

The former two-term Edo State governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, who also doubles as the APC Edo North senatorial candidate, delivered a cheque of 40 million naira on behalf of the party’s presidential standard-bearer, Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to the victims of the flood disaster which ravaged some parts of Edo state which left many displaced

Recall that Sen Tinubu’s scheduled visit to the flood victims in Edo State was cancelled at the last minute with no clear reasons given for the cancellation

Sharing lots of empathy on the plight of the internally displaced flood victims who are at the IDP camp in Ekperi, Etsako Central local government area,.

A deeply touched Comrade Oshiomhole apologized to the people for the inability of Sen Tinubu to visit them, stating further that the scheduled visit was botched the last minute detection of a technical fault in the chopper that was to convey the Tinubu delegation to the state.

The former Edo governor who also doubles as the Deputy Director General of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Presidential Campaign Council provided further insights into the 40million donation by the APC presidential candidate,.
“The money is for the people whose farms and property were affected by flood irrespective of party affiliation, adding that the money is shared among the flood victims in the three local governments affected by flood”

According to him, the lion’s share of the donated sum of money, that is, ’20million will go to Etsako Central which has over 19,061 affected persons.
Etsako East with over 7,742 persons got N12 million while Esan South East with over 6,000 victims got N8 million. This is how he help all the people affected by flood in Nigeria”

He stated further that the Tinubu presidency will seek a lasting solution to the perennial flooding which he said can be traced to the yearly release of water from the Lado Cameronian dam

In particular, Comrade Oshiomhole assured that the Tinubu presidency will not waste time in constructing the Nigerian version of the Lugbe dam in Cameron to checkmate future occurrences and ensure that the yearly loss of lives and properties occasioned by the flooding is a thing of the past.
