The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 23-year-old suspect, Omokhudu Innocent, in connection with the murder of two children in Ayogwiri Community, Etsako West Local Government Area
This was contained in a press release by the Police command issued to appraise the number of significant operational successes recorded in the week under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Daaor
According to the police, a distress call was received on August 31, 2026 concerning the death of two children, Praise Aloye, aged 7, and Oshone Ekhaesomhi, aged 6 in Ayogwiri Community.
Operatives of the Jattu Division were immediately mobilised to the scene where the lifeless bodies of the children were discovered.
The corpses have since been deposited in a mortuary for preservation and further examination.
The case is currently under investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID Benin City.
