Hon Abubakar a two-term member of the House of Representatives hails from Etsako axis of the district.

Hon. Momoh was speaking with Government House reporters at the Aso Rock Villa after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu alongside the party leader in the state, Senator Adam’s Oshiomhole, APC Guber candidate Monday Okpebholo and the running mate Hon Dennis idahosa.

The meeting with the president led by Senator Oshiomhole is said to be part of the intensified campaign activities ahead of the election.

According to the minister “Edo North is a no-go area because of my leader, myself, and a host of others, including Dan Orbih who is coming from the Legacy group

“We can deliver Edo North maximally any day. In Edo Central, there is no doubt that our candidate, Sen. Okpevbolo, will sweep the zone because he is a homeboy.”

“Don’t make the mistake of thinking that we are not going to win. As far as we are concerned, whether court judgment or no court judgment, we are very hopeful and optimistic that on September 21st this year, Obaseki will be preparing to leave the Government House.”

Chief Orbih is the leader of the Edo PDP Legacy group which has clashed severally with the mainstream group led by Gov. Godwin Obaseki.

However, some Edo North PDP chieftains have challenged the minister’s claim that Edo North is a no-go area for the PDP.

They noted that in the last held State houses of Assembly election, of the available 8 state assembly seats in the district, the PDP won 3 and also produced the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, while APC won 5 .
