Breaking new grounds and expanding the frontiers of her expertise now seems like second nature to Hon. Afie Braimoh

The former Edo State commissioner of Business, Trade, and Cooperatives is presently in Lagos to participate in the 2023 edition of the Lagos international Trade fair .

The compelling reason behind the visit of the former commissioner who is referred to in trade circles as “Mama MSME”, to the former federal seat of power is none other than the opportunity to work together with like-minds in selling the MSME ideology to a global audience .

Remarkably, Hon. Braimoh will be the guest of the Lagos State Commissioner of Commerce, Mrs Folashade Ambrose-Medem during the fair.

Both of them had a chance meeting at the just concluded FITCC Fair in Houston, USA, where they found out that they both shared a lot in common, most striking of which is the unique role of local MSMEs in economic growth and development.

The 2023 edition of the Lagos international Fair, which started on Friday, November 3, is taking place at the famous Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos.

The pairing of Hon. Braimoh and her Lagos State counterpart, Mrs. Folashade, appears very exciting in several ways. While Hon. Braimoh proved her mettle and even became the star performer of the Obaseki cabinet, Mrs. Folashade, on the other hand, is also busy carving a niche for herself running the Commerce Ministry in Lagos.

Hon. Braimoh spoke highly about the good work Mrs. Folashade is doing in Lagos, adding one of the reasons behind her pairing is to Commend her as well as support her vision to elevate, empower the SMEs and successfully open trade in the global market.

The Lagos trip will be another major boost to the rising International profile of Hon. Braimoh as a global trade ambassador
