The Honourable Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba, has written a save our soul, SOS, letter to the Minister of Works, Mr Babatunde Fashola over the deplorable condition of federal roads in Edo State.

In the letter personally signed by Prince Agba, he informed the Works Minister about the deplorable condition of the federal roads in Edo, his home state.

The Minister who hails from Etsako axis in Edo north of the state specifically mentioned the Ekpoma and Agbede axis of the Benin-Auchi Road as those that needs emergency rehabilitation.

The road in question, according to Prince Agba in his lamentation through the letter, has brought inconveniences and untold hardship to the commuters of the road.

Going by observations, the contractor handling the Ekpoma and Agbede axis of the road, Dantata and Sawoe has yet to resume work on the road after abandoning the road for the Christmas and New Year break in December last year.

Many of the road users are quite shocked that all the APC leaders in Edo State who spoke against the abandonment of the road by the Johnathan led administration seem to have turned their eyes the other side about the present condition of the road.

The question is, will Agba letter make any difference to the Works Minister considering the series of stories concerning the roads in the media.
