A formidable aspirant for the Edo 2024 Gubernatorial election, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Engr. Gideon Ikhine, aka Game Changer, has described any political party not in power as a mere association of persons.
Ikhine, a political engineer said that for any political party to be worth its name it has to win election and be in power, stressing that with him APC will form the next government in Edo State.
“I want you to send me. If I send myself the journey will be hard but if you send me the journey will be smooth and fine. When you send me you can as well call me back to give an account of my stewardship at the appropriate time”.
Ikhine made this known today during his visit to Etsako West, Etsako Central and Etsako East Local government areas in continuation of his visit to leaders and members of his party the APC, to canvass for nomination votes
“Anyone that cannot earn income for a living is economically disabled. My government will make the youth to play active role in government including providing them with the rigth platform to rise. When a child is intelligent and has no channel to explore he or she will engage in negative things.
If you want APC to win this election, look inwards and know how to go about it. Do not rely on federal might. I am running because I’m the best candidate. Because what you do not work will not work out. Talk is cheap, but you must match it with action. I will defeat all other party’s candidates for the election”.
Continuing, he promised to solve the problems of transportation by cutting the journey between Agenebode and Ida in Kogi state by two hours, as there are plans by his government to build a bridge across the Rive Niger to link the two states from that axis to advance the age long business communication links between the Igala people with their Weppa Wanno brothers.
Ikhine said his heroes in the country are the people in the street not elites, adding that whatever the government is doing for you is not a favour but simply their responsibility to ensure you get all the dividends of democracy. “We have suffered enough. It is risky not to take a risk. I can assure you, Edo State will not depend on federal allocation.
While at Etsako Central, Engr. Ikhine had a brief meeting with some leaders led by Chief J B Aloye where they prayed for him to succeed in the coming election. The chairman of the party, Chief Saliu John described Engr Ikhine’s visit as remarkable as the special prayers he received today in the leader’s house was a sign of success ahead of him during the primary.
Ikhine at the respective meeting with APC leasders in areas visited said he is the only one among the aspirants in APC that have gone round the 192 political wards in Edo State. He said he was able to identify their various problems assuring he has got the solution to identfied problems. He therefore, appealed to them to nominate him to be the candidate of the party in the forthcoming Governorship election in Edo State.
Ikhine promised to resusitate the Agbede Farm and invest heavily on it so that Edo State will serve as the food basket of Nigeria.

Abudu Amed, Peter Okoro and Chief Saliu John respectively said they have listened carefully to Engr Ikhine’s presentation which they agreed was clinically delivered. “We have been intimidated.
