Tenebe mourns Dokpesi, describes him as a jolly good fellow

A People’s Democratic party, PDP , leader in the Edo state,Hon Chief Henry Duke Tenebe has joined the list of mourners across the country in expressing sadness over the sudden death of Dr Raymond Dokpesi .

Chief Dokpesi , a High chief from weppa wanno axis of Etsako in Edo north district of Edo state died on Monday at an Abuja hospital.

In a statement issued and personally signed by him, Hon Tenebe described the late media mogul as a jolly good fellow whose sudden departure will be highly felt amongst friends and political associates and kinsmen.

He said”The late Dr High Chief Raymond Dokpesi is a friend , brother , political associates and above all, my kinsman’ whose death remains a shock and a blow to me.

“He is a man who is always by your side as a friend and kinsman in any situation by bringing out the lighter part of the circumstances.”

According to hon Tenebe, the late media mogul “was hale and fit up to the last time we met in a political gathering. As a Christian, we can’t question God rather to appreciates the impact of the deceased in the lives of many that comes his way.”

” I commiserate with the Dokpesi family, the good people of Weppa-Wanno, the Board and management of Daar Communications as well as friends and associates and pray that God will grant all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”

“He made Edo state proud by being a pacesetter in the media industry by building the Africa’s most enterprising, private broadcasting brand , Africa Independent Television (AIT), which recorded many firsts in the broadcasting business,.”

He continued, As a politician “He was a formidable Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), bringing his experience and expertise to bear in handling party affairs.

“A worthy ambassador of many things he believed in and pioneer which are too many to count.”
