Shaibu gives timeline to Auchi, Warrake to resolve boundary disputes

Edo State deputy governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu has given a time line to warring communities with boundary disputes in the state to either settle through internal machinery or ready to accept any decisions arrived at by the state government.

The deputy governor who doubles as the chairman of the State Boundary Commission made the revelation on his face book page.

In Edo North Senatorial District, the Auchi Community in Etsako West is presently having a boundary disputes with their neighbors,Warrake in Owan East LGA.

According to him “I advised leaders of the communities to go back home and have another round table discussion amongst themselves to resolve it amicably without the government’s intervention. “

“I gave them another window of three weeks within which to resolve themselves, failure to do this, by July 1, 2022, we shall resolve it for them in line with boundary demarcation rules.”

“We want the state to remain peaceful to sustain our efforts at bringing in investors.”
