Oghiadomhe mourns Olososo of Ososo, HRH Anslem Obaitan

A former two-time deputy governor of Edo State, Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, has joined the legion of those who are mourning the passing away of one of the most revered monarchs in the Akoko Edo local government area, HRH Oba Anselm Adeloro Obaitan (JP), Ichama II, JP, the Olososo of Ososo.

Chief Oghiadomhe, also the former Chief of Staff, CoS, to former President Goodluck Jonathan, described the late Olososo as a first class “promoter and defender of the interest of Ososo community in particular and its people in general, adding he would be most remembered for his peace- building efforts.

In the statement, which was personally signed by him and made available to the press, Chief Mike Oghiadomhe conveyed his condolences to members of the royal family, the entire Ososo community, the Akoko Edo local government, and the Edo State Council of Traditional Rulers.

Noting he received the news of the death of the Olososo with “great shock”, considering how the relationship between the two of them blossomed during the eight years he was the deputy governor, adding their relationship later developed socially thereafter.

He said, ” I knew him to be a gentleman of honour, knowledge, and integrity. He (Olososo) would always place the interest of the community and the people above any other considerations. We have, indeed, lost a rare gem and I hope God would grant his immediate family and the Ososo community the fortitude to bear such a great loss.
