The feud between the Edo state Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, comrade Philip shaibu has allegedly led to the redeployment Mrs. Sabina Chikere, an inlaw to the deputy governor who is the Permanent Secretary of the State Sports Commission.
Mrs chikere was before her deployment the General Coordinator for the Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin, .
She has now been reassigned to the Central Administration Department at Government House in Benin City.
It’s highly speculated that Chikere’s redeployment is directly linked to the feud between the governor and his deputy.
Mrs chikere was part of the non career civil servants elevated to the position of permanent Secretaries in the State by the state government.
Again, rumours has it that the redeployed permanent secretary was assaulted by suspected thugs loyal to the governor at the Ogbemudia stadium .
Before the feud between the deputy governor’ was in charge of overseeing sports and other matters in the state.
