Speaking shortly after he was declared winner of the election, Onaghise osaretin said, the election was the first phase and that contesting against other political parties candidates remains the next hurdle to surmount.

“We do not have any losers. We all that contested, we are all winners”,he said.

The Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC) recently shifted the date earlier fixed for the Local Government Elections from Thursday, January 19, 2023 to Saturday, May 06, 2023
