How Ogieneni of Uzairue, Otaru of Auchi intervention clears gridlock of trailers at jattu junction

The one week old gridlock of trailers which paralyzed movement of vehicles and economic activities at the popular junction in Etsako west local government has been eased off.

The gridlock which came as a result of protest by the national union of roads transport workers protects against the continuous neglect of the Auchi_ Ekpoma road and also the state government directives stopping heavy duty trailers from using the Auchi and the Owan internship roads.

In addressing the logjam, two esteem traditional rulers, the Otaru of Auchi, Alhaji H.A Momoh and the ogieneni of Uzairue, Alhaji kadiri Omogbai intervened through holding a parley with the executive of national union of road transport workers at their palace.

According to report, the otaru of Auchi had in a with the Otaru-in-Council attended by a Representative from the Federal Ministry of Works, Engr. Arisola and executives of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (Heavy Duty Truck Drivers union).

His Highness having gotten the assurance of the Federal representative of the ministry of works on its preparedness to go to work on the Benin-Okene Expressway asked that the drivers move out to create way for the contractors to bring materials on site.
