A former Commissioner for Budget and Planning in Edo State, Hajia Mariam Abubakak reportedly died from an undisclosed illness has been buried on Thursday in Abuja in accordance with Islamic rites.
The former commissioner who was also a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress APC during the first term of Governor Godwin obaseki first term of office, hails from Auchi in Etsako west LGA of the state.
The late hajia Abubakar was dropped as a Commissioner during the oshiomole and obaseki face off and replaced by another Auchi person.
She later defected to the people’s Democratic party PDP after she was denied the position of the APC woman’s leader.
