The Edo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Eugenia Abdallah, has been inaugurated as a member of the Edo State APC Campaign Council.
The Council, which was inaugurated under the chairmanship of Governor Monday Okpebholo, is saddled with the responsibility of leading the party to victory in the January 2027 general elections.
Hon. Abdallah, who hails from Etsako Central Local Government Area in Edo North Senatorial District, was appointed Deputy Director, Operations and Logistics.
The Operations and Logistics directorate is considered the heartbeat of the Campaign Council, as it coordinates movement, strategy and field operations across the 18 LGAs of the state.
Her appointment to such a sensitive position is seen as an added recognition of her expertise, intellectual prowess and administrative capacity.
Observers note that her performance in managing the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development has distinguished her as one of the most effective members of the Okpebholo cabinet.
Her primary constituency has since erupted in celebration over the appointment, describing it as well-deserved.
In a congratulatory message, the Etsako Central and Iraokho Daughters Union said: “We warmly congratulate Hon. Eugenia Abdallah on her inauguration into the Edo State APC Campaign Council. While we celebrate this new responsibility as Deputy Director, Operations and Logistics, we wish her meaningful service, success and distinction throughout the campaigns and elections.”
Inaugurating the Council, Governor Okpebholo charged members to take the APC message to every ward and polling unit in the state and ensure grassroots mobilisation ahead of the polls.
Other dignitaries present at the inauguration were Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa; Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Mr. Yekini Idiaye; former Deputy Governor, Lucky Imasuen; Senator Neda Imasuen; Joe Ikpea; Gen. Cecil Esekhaigbe; Edo APC Deputy Chairman, Mr. Sylvester Aigboboh; and State Secretary, Lawrence Okah.
