Auchi polytechnic Alumni inaugurates Afenmai Chapter

The Auchi Polytechnic Alumni Association (APAA), Afenmai chapter has elected Alhaji Rilwanu Bonvist as its President for a renewal tenure of two years.

Alhaji Bonvist and other executive members were unanimously elected to pilot the affairs of the Alumni body in the senatorial district for the next 2years.

The newly inaugurated executive is expected to rejuvenate the Alumni body which was said to have been inactive due to internal crisis.

Inaugurating the chapter in Auchi, the President General of the umbrella body in the country, Mr. Charles Ahonsi calls for unity among the members.

Ahonsi, who emphasized unity and love among members noted that crisis will not do the body good.

The President General charged the new executive with the responsibility of repairing, healing, and charting a new course for the association both at the local and national levels.

He, however, commended the newly elected executive led by Alhaji Rilwanu Bonvist and also expressed gratitude to the previous executives for their service.

While emphasizing the importance of running a system free from gossip and rumours, the President General, urged the executive members to communicate with each other to clarify any misunderstandings.

In his inaugural speech, the newly appointed President, Alhaji Rilwanu Bonvist, expressed gratitude to the association and the President General of the body for his support.

Alhaji Bonvist, who pleaded for unity among the members, urged members of the alumni to put behind them the past and focus on the future.

He thanked everyone that was involved in the seamless election process and called on all members to join the executive in moving the association forward.

Highlights of the meeting was the welcoming of seven new members into the association.

With the new executives, the Afemai Chapter of APAA looks to embark on a fresh start and work towards a united and prosperous association.
