An aspirant for the Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency seat, Paul Afagase, has expanded his consultations with stakeholders following a meeting with Senator Adams Oshiomhole, APC leader and the Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
The meeting, held at Oshiomhole’s office at the National Assembly, gave Hon. Paul Johnson Afagase the chance to share his vision for Akoko-Edo which he said is anchored on effective representation and delivering the dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
The parley also allowed Afagase, who recently declared his intention to contest the House of Representatives seat, to address what he called misconceptions over financial dealings with a business partner that opponents had allegedly used to tarnish his image.
Afagase is expected to contest the APC ticket with incumbent Hon. Peter Akpatason, who is seeking a record fifth term in the House of Representatives, and Chief Bankole Balogun, who resigned his appointment to join the race.
The meeting further dispelled rumours of a strained relationship between him and Oshiomhole.
Afagase reaffirmed his commitment to the APC’s ideals and his dedication to the progress of Edo North Senatorial District.
