Community Visits Oil & Gas Commissioner Momodu, Seeks Action on Insecurity

‎Benin City — A delegation from Amah community in Anwain Kingdom, led by High Chief David Akpolo, the Ogiaga of Anwain Kingdom, has paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Edo State Commissioner for Oil & Gas Resources, Hon. Andrew Momodu.

‎The delegation congratulated Momodu on his appointment by Governor Monday Okpebholo, describing it as well-deserved. They praised his leadership capacity, experience, and commitment to service, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver in office.

‎The community leaders offered prayers for wisdom, strength, and success in his new role, while reaffirming their support for the Okpebholo administration. They also appealed for urgent government attention to insecurity affecting their area.

‎Responding, Hon. Momodu thanked the delegation for the honour, describing the visit as a strong vote of confidence from his people. He said their support would inspire him to serve with greater dedication and responsibility.

‎He assured them that the Edo State Government remains committed to tackling insecurity and delivering development across the state, noting that safety, peace, and progress are key priorities of the administration’s SHINE Agenda.

‎The visit underscored the strong bond between Hon. Momodu and his community, and highlighted the continued role of traditional institutions in promoting unity, leadership, and development.
