‎Mrs. Eugenia Abdallah, Edo State Commissioner for Women Affairs, has been inducted as an honorary member of the National Council for Women Societies of Nigeria (NCWS).

The induction took place during a courtesy visit by the NCWS to the Ministry.

‎NCWS National Public Relations Officer, Hon. Inumidun Taiwo, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and support for women-focused initiatives. She described the NCWS as the umbrella body for women’s organizations in Nigeria, committed to humanitarian services, advocacy, and empowerment programs .

‎Taiwo emphasized the NCWS’ commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Ministry to advance policies and programs benefiting women, children, and vulnerable populations in Edo State.

‎In her remarks after her induction, an elated Commissioner  described the Ministry as a shared platform belonging to all women, stressing that government alone cannot drive meaningful change without the active participation of women at the grassroots.

‎The Commissioner noted that when women work together in love and unity, they become an unstoppable force capable of influencing policy decisions and delivering tangible impact in communities. She encouraged women to lift one another, explaining that empowering one woman creates a ripple effect that benefits families, communities and the state at large.

‎Mrs. Abdallah highlighted  the importance of  collaborations, urging women to avoid divisions, and embrace peaceful coexistence for sustainable progress. She emphasized the need for women to maintain confidentiality, build trust, and support one another rather than fuel conflicts that weaken collective progress.

‎The Commissioner further underscored the importance of expanding the NCWS umbrella in the state to accommodate more women’s groups, noting that broader participation would enhance access to empowerment opportunities, economic support initiatives and national-level interventions
