The Egor/Ikpoba-Okha federal constituency representative, Hon. Murphy Osaro Omoruyi, has called on ADC members and supporters to stay calm following the attack on the party’s state secretariat in Benin City .

Hoodlums vandalized and attempted to set fire to the secretariat, located on Ogbelaka Street, prompting condemnation from Omoruyi, who described the act as “barbaric” and a sign of desperation among politicians ahead of the 2027 general elections .

Omoruyi inspected the damage and vowed that the attackers would be brought to justice, urging ADC members to remain focused and united .

Speaking to party supporters who accompanied him to the secretariat, Hon. Omoruyi said:
” I am here to assess the extent of damage done to our secretariat by the hoodlums. I have seen the level of damage done, and I am here to advise our members all over the state, the Obidient Movement, and all our supporters not to be deterred by the activities of the criminal elements. If you are close to these people, the mere mention of ADC causes them goose bumps because they are scared to their bone marrow as a result of what will confront them in 2027. They are aware of the looming tsunami, so they are scared. All these are signs of morbid fear, but I urge you all to remain calm and focused.”

The ADC federal lawmaker disclosed that as a law abiding politician, he would engage the Assistant Inspector- General of Police Zone 5 and the Edo State Commissioner of Police on the matter in addition with other pertinent issues relating to a rancor free 2027 elections, the outcome of the meeting he said, would be communicated to them.

Recall that last week, some hoodlums suspected to be thugs loyal to some political parties in the state went on rampage at the Edo State ADC secretariat, vandalizing the building .
