Abducted Doctor Regains Freedom,
Auchi Hunters, Vigilantes Get Credit

Dr. Abu Ibrahim Momoh Tahir, a medical doctor from Auchi, has been freed by his captors.
According to a viral video, the rescue of Dr. Abu Ibrahim Momoh Tahir was credited to the efforts of Auchi hunters and local vigilantes. The community is breathing a sigh of relief after the doctor’s release.
The doctor was abducted along with his brother, Abu Tahir, on January 2, 2026, at their residence in Auchi, Edo State.
The kidnappers had initially demanded a ransom of N200 million, which was later reduced to N100 million, but tragically, Abu Tahir was killed during the ordeal .
