‎APC leadership in Jattu:  Tenebe Clashes with Luqman to pave way  for Shaibu

‎By DADA AYOKHAI

‎The APC state chairman Jarret Tenebe is allegedly embarking on what’s tagged as in- house cleaning exercise as a  strategy towards securing the party chairmanship  seat during the party Congress  by dissolving wards  Excos and  blackmailing  some of the party leaders perceived not to be loyal to his ambition.

‎One of the victims  of the suspension  saga is the minister of Regional planning ,Hon  Abubakar Momoh who is still reeling from the suspension of his Etsako East LGA ward chairman, a move seen as a blow to his influence.

‎Another victim is the Former Etsako west LGA  APC chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Akokhia  who also got a dose of the suspension tablet  before letting off the hook by superior party leaders.

‎The alleged  in- house cleaning which  is designed to commence at the Etsako axis  and later to Edo north in what is tagged charity begins at home approach recently saw the dissolution of ward 11 Exco in  Etsako west LGA and replaced with Caretaker committee in a flash.

‎The Exco is  perceived to be loyal to the duo of Hon Luqman Mohammad a member of the ward who was a  former member of the Edo state house of Assembly and currently a member of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma governing council and former Governor  Adams Oshiomhole.

‎The power struggle in Ward 11 intensifies as Tenebe allegedly orchestrates blackmail to suspend Hon Luqman Mohammad, aiming to install Philip Shaibu as the sole leader, a position Shaibu lost after defecting to PDP.

‎Hon. Shaibu allegedly partnered with Jarrett Tenebe to remove Hon Luqman Mohammad, paving the way for Shaibu to lead the party structure in Ward 11 through a caretaker committee.

‎The move against Hon Luqman Mohammad started with accusations of being a mole for ADC, allegedly linked to his association with former Minister Abubakar Malami, who is working with ADC in Kebbi State.

‎A committee, comprising Hon Luqman Mohammad’s party antagonists, was formed by Jarret Tenebe to probe the allegations, with a report allegedly already submitted to the party secretariat, despite Mohammad’s denial.

‎Concerned APC leaders are sounding alarm, warning that loyalists who stood by the party during Adams Oshiomhole’s suspension are being systematically pushed out to make way for those who betrayed him, ahead of the party congress.

‎They’re urging Adams Oshiomhole and the state governor to intervene, protecting loyalists like Hon Luqman Mohammad from being pushed out by desperados, citing their loyalty to the party during tough times.
