‎Ehimuan Gets Appointment As Special Adviser To NAWOJ  National president





‎The National President of NAWOJ, Comrade Aisha Bura, has appointed Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan as Special Adviser, leveraging her expertise and dedication as Edo State NAWOJ Chairperson.

‎This appointment was announced at the National Executive Council Meeting of the Association, which took place in Owerri, Imo State, on November 22, 2025.

‎The appointment of Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan as Special Adviser is a testament to her exceptional leadership and dedication to the NAWOJ. 

‎As the Edo State Chairperson, Comrade Ehimuan has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the advancement of women and the promotion of journalism in the state. Her tenure has been marked by numerous initiatives that have enhanced the profile of NAWOJ in Edo State, and her contributions to the association have been invaluable.
‎Comrade Aisha Bura, the National President of NAWOJ, highlighted Comrade Ehimuan’s exceptional qualities, describing her as “excellent, goal-oriented, hardworking, dedicated, and committed.” 
‎The National President noted that Comrade Ehimuan’s services are still needed for the growth and development of the association, and that her appointment as Special Adviser would enable her to continue contributing to the association’s success. 
‎”Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan will soon complete her two-term tenure as Chairperson of Edo State, making her the first person in Edo to serve in that capacity. Throughout her service, she has been excellent, goal-oriented, hardworking, dedicated, and committed. We would not like to lose her service,” Comrade Bura stated.
‎The appointment of Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan as Special Adviser marks a new chapter in NAWOJ’s history. With her wealth of experience and expertise, Comrade Ehimuan is expected to provide valuable guidance and support to the association’s leadership.

‎The NAWOJ National Executive Council Meeting, where the appointment was announced, had as its theme, “Amplifying Change: the Media, Legislation, and the Advancement of Women.” 
‎The theme underscores the association’s commitment to promoting change and advancing the interests of women in Nigeria. With Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan as Special Adviser, NAWOJ is poised to make a significant impact in the media and legislative landscape, promoting the advancement of women and the growth of the association.
