President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the composition of the board for the newly established South South Development Commission (SSDC).
, The President recently submitted a letter to the Senate seeking confirmation of the appointments for the boards of the North Central Development Commission, the South West Development Commission, and the South South Development Commission.
The SSDC board will be led by Hon. Chibudom Nwuche, a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Among the members is Usoro Akpabio, the daughter of the Senate President, Sen Godswill Akpabio.
Ms Usoro Akpabio is expected to serve as the Managing Director of the Commission.
The board will also include representatives from the six South-South states, as well as members from other geopolitical zones.
Edo State bagged the Executive Director of Commercial and Environmental Development slot of the commission which will be occupied by Hon. Joseph Ugboke,.
Hon who hails from the Etsako Central Local Government Area in Edo North served as chairman of Etsako Central LGA and also as former commissioner of Oil and Gas in the Edo State cabinet.
