South Ibie, Etsako West-born Hon. Ahmed Musa Momoh has officially assumed duty as the Executive Director of the Edo State Flood Erosion and Watershed Management Agency (FEWMA)
He resumed fully on Monday, December 9.
In this new position, Hon. Musa is expected to leverage the experience gained from his previous role as a supervisory councillor.
FEWMA was established during the administration of former Gov Godwin Obaseki to enhance the achievements in erosion control and flood management.
The FEWMA evolved from the Edo State Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project, NEWMAP, which is supported by the World Bank
Hon. Musa expressed his gratitude to the state governor for placing trust in him through this appointment and promised to bring his experience to the role.
After officially taking over leadership from the outgoing Executive Director, Dr. Tom Obaseki, the new ED did a tour of erosion prone sites .
In a chat with newsmen, he committed himself to upholding the state government’s policies and fulfilling his responsibilities effectively in this vital agency.
