As a way of supporting to ensure sanity in his constituency, the Hon member representing Oredo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives ,Hon Esosa Iyawe recently organized a cultural and moral sensitization program in collaboration with the National institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) for Youths.
The program is designed to enlightened the participants the consequences of drugs abuse, cultism and get rich quick syndrome .
The event which was held in Benin city had in attendance the representatives of Nico , Labour Party members and students from various institutions.
In an opening address, the representatives of Hon Iyawe, Engineer Chidi Ekeh said the program is coming at time where people especially the youths are so much involved in drug abuse,cultism and get rich quick syndrome.
He further charged the youths to chart a way of achieving success through hardwork.
Also speaking, Ogden Abraham who is popularly known as godfather, the Speaker of Area Parliament on rhythm FM radio station urged the youth to abstained from drug abuse, cultism and get rich quick syndrome in lieu of hard work.
The mentioned vices he said has become a symptom which requires urgent attention.
He urged the government to declare a state of emergency on drug abuse
Some of the participants applauded the Law maker for organizing such an enlightened program for youths.
