The umbrella body of Bishops in Nigeria, Bishop of Nigeria’s conference will be holding its conference in Auchi, Etsako west Local Government Area of Edo state.
The Archbishop of Auchi Catholic Diocese , Bishop Dunia disclosed this in Auchi when he paid a courtesy visit on the paramount ruler of Auchi, the otaru of Auchi,Alhaji H. A momoh to formally informed him about the conference scheduled to hold in the kingdom.
Dunia who was accompanied by other Reverend Fathers from the Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Auchi said the the Otaru that the Conference is scheduled to take place between August 22 and 30, 2024.
He said, he was at the Otaru’s palace to intimate him on the event as the father of the community.
Bishop Dunia further told the royal father that Catholic Bishops from across the country are expected to converge in the community during the period which he described as a great honor not just to the Catholic Diocese of Auchi but also to the people of Auchi Sacred Kingdom ..
The Bishop, who appreciated the fatherly disposition of the monarch, described him as a beckon of hope, that has engendered and maintained peaceful coexistence in the community despite the ethno-religious and socio-political differences.
Responding, the Otaru of Auchi described the Bishops as Christian brothers and a key component of the collective prosperity of the community.
Otaru prayed for continued brotherly love amongst people of all faiths in Auchi and encouraged the clergymen to always toe the path of truth in their dealings.
