Visually impaired, Orobosa, designer beaded works adorns Super markets in Edo, US — Braimoh

The Edo state Commissioner for business Trade and Co-operatives, Hon Afie Braimoh has said that the products of the Edo born visually impaired Mr Timothy Orobosa will be on the shelves of leading super markets In Edo State, Nigerian chain stores and the global markets and presently available for sale in Miami.

The commissioner made the disclosure when she led the officials of the ministry to publicly unveil a product designed by a visually impaired creative designer.

The Fashion accessories designer. which go by the brand name, TGS, is the brainchild of Mr. Timothy Orobosa, a visually impaired product developer .

Thus, by the unveiling, the commissioner has set the stage for the product adoption and its eventual display on the shelf by top supermarts across the state and even beyond

The TGS is a collection of uniquely multi-coloured beaded designs crafted with precision and also adaptable to modern lifestyles. It is also available for multiple uses such as bags, key holders, flower bases, and so on.

Hon Braimoh during the unveiling ceremony described the product developer, Mr. Orobosa, as one of the beneficiaries of her ministry’s support
for the Sustain the use of our locally made “Proudly Edo” products in such critical areas as branding which encompasses logo and brand name registration

She poured encomiums on the product developer for rising beyond his disability and limitations to create a unique product that will certainly appeal to the generality of the public and also help to promote and sustain the use of our local artifacts .

Hon Commissioner. gesture is a fulfilment of her promise made to Mr Orobosa during the presentation of a certificate of business registration of TGS in the State of Florida.

According to the Commissioner, the products are in line with the state government vision to prepare Made in Edo Products for the global market.

“Locally made products can compete on the world stage and Timothy’s quality beaded works are no exception.

His products sold out at FITCE and Medweek In Florida 2022 with demand for more of his uniquely created designs. she said.

Hon Braimoh assured that the TSG product brand will adorn the shelves of the leading supermarts in the state in strict adherence to the “Made in Edo” policy of the state government.

She added that her ministry would also take necessary steps to expose the product to the world because of its potentialities

In his response, Mr. Orobosa who was supported by the wife who is partially impaired and blessed with 3 children thanked the commissioner for channeling her ministry’s support in his direction during the incubation stage.

Orobosa added that the product unveiling would not have been possible without the support he received from the honourable commissioner and her team
