Preparations are in top gear to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the ascension of the Olokpe of the Okpe kingdom, HRH Oba. Eshimokhai idogu 111, JP on the throne.
Part of the milestone anniversary celebration involves the conferment of chieftaincy titles on some deserving personalities across the state.
The worthy recipients were carefully selected based on proven capabilities and contributions made toward the development and growth of the largely agrarian community.
One of the names that stand out among the chieftains recipients is Engr Saliu Ahmed, the Sadiq of the Auchi kingdom.
Engr Ahmed ,an amiable civil engineer who is the Managing Director of the Benin- Owena River Basin Development Authority, BORDAs is a household name in the Edo North district.
He will be the cynosure of eyes during the conferment ceremony due to his Midas touch and uncommon commitment to the growth of the Okpe kingdom,
Okpe kingdom, located in the northernmost part of Edo State, precisely in the Akoko Edo local government area, is a tourist delight and a beautiful place to behold. The scenery is alluring and at the same time unique.
