Etsako West Chairman Appoints Special Adviser On People With Disabilities

The Executive Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Council, Hon. Romeo Aloaye Omoike has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusiveness with the appointment of a Special Adviser on People With Disabilities

The appointment, which takes immediate effect from Monday, 7th September 2026 was announced by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman,Sir Tony Otsu

According to the statement, Mr. Aloaye Umoru Oseni has been approved to serve in the capacity.

The Chairman, on behalf of the Council, congratulated the appointee and charged him to discharge his responsibilities with dedication, professionalism, integrity and utmost commitment.

He said the appointment was in line with his administration’s policy of opening the doors of government to all segments of society, especially persons with disabilities.

“We expect the Special Adviser to promote inclusiveness, empowerment and the welfare of persons with disabilities across Etsako West Local Government Area,” the statement read.

The Executive Chairman further expressed confidence in the ability of the newly appointed Special Adviser to contribute meaningfully to the success of the administration and the fulfilment of its mandate to the people of Etsako West.

The development has elicited positive reactions from members of the public, who described it as a good step that will give persons with disabilities a sense of belonging in governance.

The new Special Adviser hails from Auchi and has been a long-time advocate for the recognition and inclusion of persons with disabilities, a group to which he belongs.
