The Edo state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has announced the composition of it’s Campaign Council for the forthcoming general election in the state .
The 357-members body is to be chaired by the Edo state governor ,Mr Godwin Obaseki, the deputy governor Philip Shaibu, as Co-deputy chairman, while the state chairman of the party, Mr Aziegbemi Tony will serve as the deputy chairman.
According to the release signed by the party State organizing secretary, Mr Tony Annenih Jnr, said the campaign council will be inaugurated on Friday, 21st of October, 2022, at the old NPDC building .
The list contained names of the Orbih led factional group in the state, but the Orbih loyalists said the list was drawn by the governor loyalists and may not be part of the body
According to a leader of the factional group who spoke under anonimity said the said list is loopsided in favor of the Obaseki group
The campaign group first assignment will be the organization of a presidential rally to formally introduce Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to Edo people.
