The PDP National Working Committee (NWC) has appointed Hon. Henry Duke Tenebe, a PDP stalwart from Edo State, to chair the Imo State PDP ward congress electoral committee.
The letter confirming this appointment was signed by the National Organizing Secretary of the party, Alhaji Umar Bature.
In line with the party’s directive, Hon. Tenebe will lead a four-member electoral committee tasked wiith organizing a credible ward congresses which is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 27 across all the 305 wards in Imo State.
The ward congress is meant to elect ward executive officers of the party and three ad hoc delegates.
Wards executive officers and adhoc candidates according to pundits are the the foundation towards electing a credible and sellable party candidates for elective offices.
Tenebe-led electoral committee according to some party men will be carrying on their shoulders the future of PDP in Imo state which was formally a PDP state now in control of the All Progressive Congress.
Hon.Tenebe, also a member of the Edo State PDP Governorship national Campaign Council, is experienced in handling such party assignments.
He has previously carried out similar national tasks with distinction.
