In its commitment to strengthen workplace safety and ethical standards, Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited (RENL) reinforces its long-standing dedication to workplace safety and ethical conduct as it celebrates its HSE/Ethics Day at its Utagba-Uno site on the 4th of December 2025.
The event, themed, “Safety and Integrity: Our Shared Responsibility” brought together the management and employees at Utagba-Uno to reflect on workplace safety, ethical conduct, and the collective role in fostering a safe, ethical work environment.
In his opening remarks, the Deputy Human Resources Manager, Taiwo Akinmadelo, emphasized the need for all employees to work hand in hand with management to uphold the company’s commitment to safety, ethics, and integrity. He highlighted that RENL has continued to invest in robust systems that strengthen workplace safety and reinforce ethical conduct across all levels, and these efforts have earned the company international recognition, including its designation as Top Employer for Best Practices. He then urged all the employees to continue to work with the management to sustain and improve its safe, responsible, and ethical environment.
The highlight of the event were the key presentations by the staff on environmental hygiene, child labour awareness, along with the Cleanest Block Award which recognized the most hygienic residential block in Utagba-Uno, reinforcing RENL’s commitment to cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
