Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor reshuffle in the State Executive Council, effective January 30, 2026.
Hon. Gani Audu has been replaced as Chief of Staff by former Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, both from Etsako west LGA.
The duo, who were former chairmen of Etsako West Local Government, are known loyalists of former Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Audu has been redeployed as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, pending confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
Other changes include Hon. Vincent Osas Uwadiae moving from Oil and Gas Resources to Lands and Housing as Commissioner. The reshuffle aims to strengthen governance, enhance service delivery, and promote efficiency in state affairs, according to Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
The government is confident the adjustments will improve coordination, policy implementation, and governance in Edo State.
