Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, a two-term former deputy governor of Edo State,
has emphasized the need for the people of Akoko Edo to reciprocate Governor Obaseki’s gestures by supporting the PDP.
The former deputy governor who also served as the Chief of Staff (CoS) to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, recently visited Igarra, the Akoko Edo local government headquarters, along with other notable Edo North PDP leaders to inaugurate the Akoko Edo chapter of the PDP Campaign Committee.
He is optimistic that the gesture will result in massive support for the PDP during the upcoming September governorship election, noting that voting for the PDP would demonstrate solidarity with the governor, who has made significant efforts to elevate the political status of Akoko Edo.
He also highlighted the damage caused by the APC-led federal government and urged the people to reject the party and its candidates in the upcoming election.
In his role as the Edo North PDP leader, Chief Oghiadomhe hopes for a positive outcome in the September governorship election to challenge the APC dominance in the district with Akoko Edo being one of the few bright spots.
The launch of the Akoko Edo chapter of the Campaign Council provided PDP leaders in the Edo North district an opportunity to demonstrate the strong bond between them.
The event provided an ample opportunity for the district’s PDP leaders to put on public display of unity and the zeal to inflict maximum harm on the APC.
Chief Oghiadomhe, Sen Yisa Braimoh, Sen Victor Oyofo, and the deputy governor of the state, Hon. Adebayo Omobayo, all shared their resolve to work together.

Additionally, he expressed utmost trust in Asue Ighodalo and assured that he would address local government marginalization if elected.
On his part, Hon. Ojo Momoh, the state Deputy Director of the Campaign Council, expressed confidence in the Council’s ability to secure victory for the PDP.
Hon. Tajudeen Alade Suleman, the Akoko Edo local government chairman, thanked the DG and other members of the Council for their dedication and commitment.
The local government chapter of the Campaign Council includes prominent figures such as HE Hon. Omobayo, Hon Tajudeen Suleman, Hon Oladele Bankole, Hon Kayode Ogunubi, Chief Olu Fashanu, Hon Shegun Saiki, Chief Monday Sule Akpeji a.k.a. Okomayin, Mrs Evelyn Ugbesia, Kayode Alabi, Jeffrey Obasanmi, Bayo Ogedengbe, Yeki Idaiye, P. O. Balogun, Christabel Omo Ekwu, Olu Dania, and Donald Okogbe.
