The Member representing Oredo federal constituency at the National Assembly, on the Labour Party, LP , Party platform Hon. Esosa Iyawe has formally defected to the All progressive Congress APC at his Oredo ward .
Recall Hon Iyawe defected along with other Labour Party members to the APC on the floor of the house.
Hon Iyawe accompanied by supporters from his former party along with some party executives from Oredo local government area, arrived at APC ward 1 Secretariat in Oredo to officially make known his membership of the party to the APC leaders at the ward .
While addressing APC leaders and members in ward1, the law maker said his reason for defectiing to APC is to join forces with the leaders and members of the party to build a more formidable and stronger APC in Oredo local government and by extension Edo South senatorial district.
He stated that it is time to effect change, and also changed the narrative of APC in Oredo, adding that he would complement the effort of the state governor, Senator Monday Okpeholo to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Oredo.
He further stated that he would do much more for the people of Oredo and Edo South with the support of the State governor.
Welcoming Hon Iyawe and his followers to the party, the Oredo APC ward 1 chairman, Felix Ehigiabe said they are excited to receive the law maker and assured him of equal rights.
Hon Iyawe was later presented with the APC membership card.
