As a way of giving back to the society, the Hon member representing Oredo federal Constituency in the house of representatives ,Hon Esosa iyawe has organized a cultural and moral sensitization program in collaboration with the National institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) for youths to help curb the consequences of drugs abuse, cultism and get rich syndrome .
The event which was held in Benin city had in attendance the representatives of Nico , Labour Party members and students from various institutions.
in an opening address, the representatives of Hon iyawe, Engineer Chidi Ekeh said the program is coming at time where people especially the youths are drained by dangerous influences such as drug abuse,cultism and get rich syndrome.. the program he said places emphasis on hard work and integrity.
He further charged the youths to chart a course of success through hardwork.
Also speaking, Ogiewonyi Abraham who is popularly known as godfather, Speaker of area Parliament on rhythm FM urged youth to abstine from drug abuse, cultism and get rich syndrome but rather work hard,adding that it is a disease which requires urgent attention. He advised the government to declare a state of emergency on drug abuse
