The Member representing Oredo Federal Constituency, Hon. Esosa Iyawe, on Friday donated 41 computer systems to New Era College Benin city as part of his efforts to promote educational and digital skills.
During the event, Hon. Esosa Iyawe emphasized the importance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in today’s world and its role in enhancing the knowledge of young learners. He shared plans to extend similar initiatives to schools across the 10 wards in Oredo.
The Principal of New Era College, Mrs. Princess Osaretin, expressed delight at the donation. She noted that the school had long faced challenges in providing practical computer education, and this development would significantly improve the students’ learning experience.
Some students, including Modupe Adetayo and Musa Sadiat, also expressed gratitude to the hon iyawe for the donation. They highlighted how access to the new computer systems would make their learning process faster and more effective.
The event concluded with a test run of the computers by the lawmaker and students, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the school’s ICT education.
